Racing Classes

Novice electric (14 and under) – Novice – 1/10 Gas truck
Monster truck – Arena truck (Truggy) – 1/8 Buggy Expert and Intermediate

 

All R.O.A.R. rules are in effect.
Any exceptions are noted below.

 

Novice Electric (up to 14 years old)

This class will be mix of all novice electric drivers no matter what they drive.
The vehicle must be stock, no exceptions (some bling aloud). Any Performance modifications will automatically move you to the next class.
Electric monster trucks must have stock motors and will be limited to 3800mah batteries.
All other 1/10 scale trucks and buggies will use either their stock motor or if a replacement is needed it must be no less than a 17 turn stock motor with fixed timing (it can be rebuildable)
Neither driver nor vehicle can be used in any other class if entered in novice.

Novice
This class will be for everyone who does not feel comfortable in the other classes.
This is also where Jato's would run that are not modified for racing.
There will be no points series for this class, it is here to get people ready to race in the other classes.

1/10 Gas truck

Maximum engine size is .12, unless truck came stock. (No 3.3 Jato’s will be allowed.)

Only single speed transmissions are allowed.

1/8 Gas buggy Expert
1/8 Gas buggy Intermediate
These classes will be separated this year.
No pro or sponsored drivers in the intermediate class.

If you decide to enter the Intermediate class and  you place in the top 3 several weeks in a row it will be the Race Directors discretion  to move you to the Expert class.
.21 is Max engine size unless it is an RTR
Tank size for all buggies is 125cc.

Monster Truck

Definition: Monster trucks are vehicles which measure a minimum of 1.5” inches from the lowest point of the chassis to the lowest point of the engine along the front-back centerline when compressed.

The following trucks are examples that fit within the above definition: T (and S) -Maxxes, Savage, MGT, Revo, TNX/TC and LST providing no modifications have been made to make the vehicle not meet the Monster Truck rules.

Transmission may have up to 3 forward gears. Reverse must be disabled.

NO external center diffs. Diffs inside trans will be allowed.

All monster trucks must meet the two above criteria or you will be moved to the Arena truck class

2wd and 4wd is allowed.

All trucks will be run together unless sufficient entries warrant splitting by engine size. SB (.12 - .20), BB (.21 - .28)
.28 is the maximum engine size

Fuel Tank Volume Rule - Based on motor size. .20999 or less will be limited to a maximum of 150mililitres/cc.  .21 and over is limited to a maximum of 175mililitres/cc.
Unless it came stock with a bigger tank.
(ie. LST 2, Aftershock, warhead, ect)(these trucks come with tanks for bashing not racing) The truck must also have the stock motor, If the motor has been changed to an aftermarket motor the tank must be changed to match the above rule.

All trucks must meet a minimum weight:

            Small block must weigh a minimum of 7lb.

            Big block must weigh a minimum of 9.5lb

Arena Truck (Truggy or SUT)

This is for all other trucks that do not fit in the Monster truck class.

This is an unlimited class.

.28 is the maximum engine size

Fuel Tanks - Single fuel tanks only, no more than 150mililitres/cc
