June 8 Race Canceled / Track Rebuild Day

Update to the schedule has been posted.  June 8, originally scheduled as a club race day, will be canceled in order to allow the crew to rebuild the layout and elements of the track as well as recondition the track surface to eliminate rocks that have started to come up as a result of the runoff.

Track will also be closed to practice from Friday June 7 through Friday June 14 as the track work is completed.

Next race will be, per the schedule, June 15.

Anyone interested in racing this weekend, we recommend the following venues:

Tiltyard in Dayton, VA is hosting their ROAR Region 2 Series Race on Saturday, June 8. It's a bit of a trip, but I highly recommend checking out one of Homer's tracks.. they are always awesome and fun to drive!

Hobby Hut is having a club points race on Sunday, June 9. If we finish up early enough on Saturday, I may end up over there for my fix.

The Mushroom Bowl should be running a race program Saturday, June 8 as well.

Thanks to everyone who came out, even though the turn out was low due to the ROAR regional race, it was still a fun day.  Cya everyone next week for the MD series here @ XRC!

5/25 Race Day Update (Still Racing)

Received word from the track crew that the track is in great shape following the last 24 hours or so of rain.  Didn't even have any standing water this time.  There is some minor work they are completing this evening, and we will be ready to go in the morning.

This will be the Mason-Dixon make-up race from 2 weeks ago, Race #2.  $25 per class entry for the series to cover rewards.

We may need to delay the start of racing in the morning to finish any last minute maintenance on the track, so please bare with us.  The track is just a bit too tacky at this point to run the roller over it, so we're going to do that in the morning either before practice or during the practice session, so we will adjust the race day schedule accordingly.

4/27 Race Report

Another great day of racing at XRC in Quarryville, PA.  Truggy and Electric Buggy had huge turn outs making for some good competition with B-main bump ups in both classes.

5/18 Race Reminder

Just a reminder to all...

XRC will be running tomorrow, Saturday, May 18 as a rain makeup date for last weekend's rain out.  Our normal day time schedule applies: Practice and Signups fom 8-10AM, drivers meeting 10:30AM and first round kicks off at 11AM.

The Mason-Dixon makeup race will be next Saturday, May 25.

Fixing Marshaling Area

It was obvious after the opening day race that marshaling over all the hills in the front stretch was difficult, so hopefully this will make it easier for everyone who needs to marshal.  We cut into the jumps so marshals on either side of the front jump sequence can easily run into the area to marshal cars without having to put on their hiking boots.

5/11 Weather 6:30AM Weather Update (Cancelled)

Due to the rain last night and continued threat of rain through the day, we have decided to cancel racing for today.  Next week, Saturday May 18, we will hold a club race day for those who aren't going to LCRC's big weekend race.  Saturday, May 25 will be the make-up Mason-Dixon race at XRC (Round #2).

Race schedule will be upated to reflect changes shortly.
